Shanti Celeste & Gramrcy's Peach Discs continues its 2023 run of form as Shanti teams up with good friend Hodge for the second time on the label, following 2019'sSoba DanceEP. Recorded fast and loose earlier this year, the EPs four tracks capture an infectious energy from both producers, the titular tune from Shanti featuring her uniquely positive melodic sensibility a perfect foil for Hodge's peaky roller "Synchronized Swimming," with it's ear-worming bassline and jaw-clenching pad strafes. The flip features two versions of collaborative tune "Whispers," built around Shanti's vocal refrain and tuff, syncopated drums, before going their own way with plaintive pads ("Deep Mix") or a laser-reaching piano riff ("Rave Mix").
